alameensoft was founded in 1992 by a group of engineers committed to developing the first Arabic accounting and inventory solution designed to operate on the Windows platform.

The first version of the solution was released in 1994 and commercially distributed in 1995 under the name “alameen 3.1.” It was the first accounting solution designed for the Windows operating system and computer networks to reach the market.

alameensoft then began developing a version tailored to the needs of international businesses, incorporating features such as post-dated check handling, an English-language interface, enhanced multi-currency support, improved reporting tools, and greater flexibility in designing custom invoice and voucher formats. This version, named “alameen 97,” was first launched in Lebanon, followed by rollouts in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, and most other Arab countries. It quickly became the leading accounting solution in terms of quality, support, development speed, coverage, and performance.

The transition was then made to the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 database, along with support for new Microsoft operating systems such as Windows 2000 and Windows XP. With the release of alameen 2002, the solution became capable of handling large volumes of data and supporting a high number of users.

The current version of alameen, “alameen 10.0,” includes a suite of integrated and interconnected systems such as point of sale, restaurants, hospitals, order management, distribution, marketing, fixed assets, remittances, shipping companies, and automotive maintenance workshops. It also offers the ability to import and export data automatically or manually, along with the generation of advanced analytical and statistical reports.

The company continues to enhance the solution in response to the ever-evolving market demands and advancements in global information systems, ensuring that it remains the leading accounting management solution in the Arab world.
